Happy / Sad Bucks: Lynda R. stopped by Kathleen Mekesa's today to take them dinner. Happy to report that she is the treasurer of the Girl Scout Council and that Girl Scout's are celebrating their 96th anniversary. She saw her grandson last week and he is doing well. Bob Stabil is happy to have returned to Ohio. He flew in during the snow storm and a tree fell in his yard. Joe C. was happy to have attended the PETS meeting in Columbus last weekend during the storm. He stated that it is quite an experience to look out the window of the 15th floor and watch the storm. He attended with Brian G, John B, and Mike Sr. He gained an additional perspective and respect for Mike Sr. who, when introduced at the meeting was greeted with applause. Brian G. felt that the meeting was a good experience. Mike Sr. stated that he also enjoyed the PETS meeting. Joe Wilson paid a sad buck as his father-in-law recently expired. He was on his way to work, experienced what is believed to be a heart attack and hit a tree. He is an avid wrestling fan and assists with a youth program. He was at the state tournament, Division 2, in Columbus, and witnessed one of the most inspiring moments of his life. One of the wrestlers was a quadruple amputee from Hillsboro High School. He had 39 wins and 2 losses and received a standing ovation. Ross D. sad buck - His great aunt 91 years old expired. He announced that he had Girl Scout cookies to sell.
 
Announcements: Mike Jr. reminded the members that a TOH Thank You is being held Saturday Morning at 9am at Yours Truly. Melissa stated that the club roster is now on the Web. Mike Sr. recommended that members attend the Burton Pancake breakfast on Sunday. George S. discussed the need for sponsors for the Vo-ed dinner. He distributed sponsorship applications to all members. He requested that these forms be returned by April1. The district assembly will be held at the Bertram Inn April 5. Members of the club can meet at Panera's located in Golden Gate at 7:30 am and go together.
 
Four Way Speech Contest: The four students for the contest were present with their school representatives and family members. The following schools and students participated in the contest. Mayfield High School - Rachel Kaminsky ,Gilmore High School - Alexandra Pilla , Brush High School - Derrick Amanor and Richmond Heights High School - Alan Kisner. The students placed as follows: Alan Kisner first place, Alexandra Pilla, second place, Rachel Kaminsky third place, and Derrick Amanor fourth place and honorable mention. Financial prizes were presented to the students in the first three places. Judges for the contest were George S., John W., and Tom M. Melissa took pictures which will be on the Web.
